The Eastern Cape combines thicket and grassland biomes, rich in biodiversity and vital to rural livelihoods. However, overgrazing, forestry, and invasive species have led to widespread degradation. ReLISA’s work supports ecosystem recovery and improved water security, helping to open up new pathways for restoration-linked green employment across the region.
